Now that it was fall and the three Vancouver Island Wolf males were six months old, it was time for them to start joining their parents out on hunts. The three were still rather pupish and tended to play and chase each other, rather than actually hunting. Ares had decided to name the three for the time being even though they were to be released when old enough. The darker black male was named Sid, the lighter black male was Brutus and the grey colored male was named Elfo. 

It was a warm fall day when Alexander and Alexandria took their three pups out to practice some hunting. Today they would be working with smaller prey like rabbits, voles and prairie dogs, those were all in abundance on the preserve. The two adult wolves led the way while their pups trailed after them, chasing each other. Though they quickly stopped and got in line after a sharp bark from their sire.

Soon enough the group had came upon the open grassland where the rabbits tended to graze and have their burrows. It was now that the training would begin. Alexander and Alexandria began to show Sid, Brutus and Elfo how to hunt the small game.
